About Phillip Strang
Phillip Strang was born in England in the late 1940s. From an early age he was a voracious reader, a habit that would eventually lead to a writing career spanning decades and continents.
After graduating with a degree in electronics engineering, Strang left England in his early twenties and moved to Sydney, Australia — a move that became permanent. Australia became his home, and the Australian landscape, particularly the vast and unforgiving outback, became one of the defining backdrops of his fiction.
Strang's life was never confined to one place. The years between his arrival in Australia and his emergence as a novelist were marked by extensive travel and residence in some of the world's most turbulent regions — places that would later inform the authenticity of his thriller writing, particularly the Steve Case terrorism series.
Today Phillip Strang is one of the most prolific crime fiction authors in the English language. His 19 series and 144 novels span three continents and encompass every major strand of the crime fiction genre — from cosy-adjacent British detective fiction to outback mysteries, from FBI procedurals to international terrorism thrillers. Each series is distinct in voice, location, and character, reflecting Strang's genuine breadth of experience and his lifelong engagement with storytelling.
All of Phillip Strang's books are available exclusively on Amazon Kindle and in paperback.
